| INTERNATIONAL REGENT SPEAKS ON 39th ANNIVERESARY OF ROE VS WADE |
My dear Sisters: At 6:30 pm on January 22, the eve of the 39th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the 1973 Supreme court decision legalizing abortion, thousands of Catholics will gather in the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception to pray for an end to abortion at the National Prayer Vigil for Life Opening Mass. The following day, tens of thousands more will participate in the National March for Life, including many of our young college circle members who will join together as Daughters of Isabella supporting life! I call on each member of the Daughters of Isabella to continue to take the stand to uphold the dignity of all human life. We should recommit ourselves to building a culture in which every human life is valued, no matter how poor or sick, how old or microscopic, that life may be. Let us unite our hearts and minds through prayer and good works with others throughout the country on this day, in promoting the inherent dignity of all human life from conception to natural death. As Catholics and Daughters of Isabella, we must heed the Lord’s call to life and be women "of life and for life" as our beloved Pope John Paul II called us to be.

This Circle recently celebrated their 30th anniversary with a Pageant, selecting a Queen of Our Lady of Peace, a Queen of Charity, a Queen of Friendship, a Queen of Unity and a Queen of Hope. These Queens hold their title for five (5) years until the next Pageant.
The Pageant had over 400 attendees and raised over $7000.00 with donations going to the Circle’s seminarian project, flood victims, and many local projects and programs.
